For all those of you who have watched The American (2010) and got blown away by the wonderful atmospheric photography, here is a treat. Martin Ruhe was the man that director Anton Corbijn entrusted his vision to when he began the process of making his second feature. Martin had previously worked with Anton on music videos like Coldplay’s ‘Talk’ and on his debut feature-film, the Ian Curtis biopic Control (2007), where the film’s stark Black and White photography was received with much acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Other films that he has worked on include the Michael Caine starrer Harry Brown (2009) and Julie Delpy’s The Countess (2009).
